Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursery Manager to lead a dedicated team. You will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare and education, compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards, and the smooth running of all operations.

Responsibilities

What  your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery team.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and maintain high standards of care and education.
  • Oversee curriculum planning, ensuring it aligns with EYFS guidelines and meets children’s developmental needs.
  • Monitor and manage nursery budgets, occupancy, and resources effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to support each child’s learning journey.
  • Lead on recruitment, training, and development of nursery staff.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Regularly evaluate and improve nursery policies and practices.

What will you need to be considered for the role?

    • A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above preferred).
    • Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting with a rating of a GOOD or OUTSTANDING rating from Ofsted
    • In-depth knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
    • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
    • A genuine passion for providing high-quality childcare and education.
    • The ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve outstanding outcomes.
